Your end users need answers fast and in the flow of work. They can’t afford to switch tabs, search different knowledge bases, read wordy documentation, watch long videos, or wait for you or a co-worker to screen share with them. That's where Tango's Guide Me feature comes in. Guide Me is an entirely new way to get process assistance from a Tango Workflow. It will change the the way your teams learns new processes and completes them.
Guide Me:
Transforms static how-to guides into interactive walkthroughs
Increases self-service by embedding instructions in the tools where people work
Minimizes FAQs by teaching end users how to use software while using it
Drives higher (and more measurable!) process adoption
How Tango's Guide Me experience highlights action steps for a user to complete. Note: the light boxing effect is meant to illustrate the feature, in deployment, just the action box highlight appears with no shadow effects.
What do I need to access Guide Me on a Tango Workflow?
In order to access Guide Me, you need the following:
A Tango account
The Tango extension installed (version is 6.0 or later on Chrome)
The Workflow must either be in the same Workspace where you are a member OR you will need to have been invited by email to the Workflow as a Guest.
Guide Me works best on Tangos created after 5/16/2023.
If your Tango was created before 5/16, you will be able to open the Guide Me Panel, but you will see a static workflow, and no elements will be highlighted on the screen.
For more information on Guide Me access and compatibility, see this article.
Once you've confirmed that you have access and the Workflow is compatible, there are several ways to open Guide Me:
Go to the Tango workflow you want to follow
1. Click on Guide Me
✅ The Guide Me side panel will open on the left, and you'll be taken to the website on the first step. If the Tango is Guide Me compatible, we will highlight the first action for you to click on directly on your screen.
2. Click on the highlighted box on your screen, and Tango will automatically progress to the next step!
