Tango does not provide the option to capture voice or audio recordings at this time.

Why does Tango not allow users to capture voice or audio?

Tango aims to make it dead simple to capture processes and turn them into step-by-step guides that are easy for anyone to learn and get answers from. While we understand audio and voice is a helpful learning format for some individuals and teams, it can also be cumbersome to get right during the initial recording and playback can be slow for viewers to go through to find information. It's possible that we offer more functionality or general capabilities around audio in the future, but for now we want to stick to providing the best possible visual instruction formats that we can.

Can I add audio or voice to Tangos in some other way?

Tango does not currently provide native embedding formats although we recommend putting audio or video links in descriptions or callout fields if you'd like your viewers to reference that type of content.

Will Tango ever consider audio or voice in the future?

Yes! We strive to listen to our customers and prioritize our backlog accordingly based on the feedback we receive and the value we think we can provide. If and when we do add audio or voice, it will be done in a thoughtful way that requires minimal work from Creators and speedy answers for Viewers.

If you'd like to pass along any feedback that might be helpful to us in this regard, please don't hesitate to reach out to [email protected] - we'd love to hear from you.
