We are required to ask for a broad set of permissions so we can help users build automatic documentation, guide users through workflows, and suggest relevant content for web pages. As an extension, we are unable to provide our services without these browser permissions.

Additionally, we take privacy-first initiatives wherever we can. For instance, we never capture keystrokes or text in any password fields. We encrypt all data at rest and in transit, and have highly restricted access to user data for specific Tango personnel (only certain engineering members can access workflow data for debugging purposes).

Ultimately, we can't control everything a user may decide to capture. However, we are not actively seeking personal data and ask for these browser permissions only to provide our services. As a business, Tango makes money selling paid versions of our offerings and does not sell any personal user data to advertisers.
